The Latta Elementary Student Council received a generous donation of 352 hats, scarves, and pairs of socks from Latta Senior Empowerment Services on December 18, 2025. The contribution will help ensure students stay warm and comfortable during the colder months.
Representatives from Latta Senior Empowerment Services presented this donation to the students and were so excited to have the students there. The seniors enjoyed seeing the joy and excitement of the children over the different hats. It's moments like this that remind us of the importance of community and one generation taking care of another.
Each member of the student council was allowed to pick out one item for themselves and they immediately started "shopping". After the "shopping spree" it was time for the students to head back to class. They thanked the Latta Senior Empowerment Services for their kindness and for spreading warmth, kindness, and hope to our students.
