Students participated in BIG THURSDAY showing team spirit and celebrating school nutrition on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Students at all three schools were entered into a drawing for participating in the fun! I am proud to announce the winners at each school: Latta Elementary School winner was Jaycee Edens, 4th grade, representing the Carolina Gamecocks; Latta Middle School winner was Cayden Sweigart, 6th grade, representing the Clemson Tigers; and the Latta High School winner was Janae Gomillion, 9th grade, representing the Clemson Tigers.
Each of these students were given a prize for their participation. We want to say thank you and congratulations to all that participated today by showing their team spirit and making healthy choices.
The three school winners were entered into another drawing where one was selected as the overall winner to represent the Dillon District Three Latta Vikings for the statewide drawing. The prize for this drawing will be a $200 gift card and an official Big Thursday T-shirt. The overall winner that will be entered in the statewide drawing was 4th grader, Jaycee Edens. Congratulations and Go Vikings!
