Ms. Upton has been using the website, WeWillWrite, to help her 7th grade ELA students improve their writing skills. This website includes interesting prompts, which students respond to anonymously, competing to get the most votes from their classmates. The competitive component motivates students to give their best effort and gets them excited about writing. Ms. Upton shared the information with Mr. McInnis about this free resource, so now all of our 7th grade students are making use of it.

This week, our students collected a total of 453 cans — 226 for USC and 227 for Clemson. It’s a very close competition!

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We encourage you to keep sending in canned and boxed food items so we can reach our school-wide goal of 1,150 cans and support as many families in our community as possible.

We appreciate your continued generosity and school spirit!

This week, Ms. Rogers’ art students wrapped up their pottery unit! They began by exploring essential handbuilding techniques, including coil and pinch pots. After mastering these skills, students studied how different cultures around the world use pottery, then created their own unique pieces inspired by those traditions.
