It was a great night for LHS athletics as both the varsity baseball and softball teams picked up major postseason wins!
The Lady Vikings softball team defeated Green Sea Floyds 9–4 in the Lower State Playoffs, marking their first victory over Green Sea Floyds this season. With the win, the team advances to the Lower State Championship game tomorrow against Hannah-Pamplico.
The Vikings baseball team competed in a Lower State Championship doubleheader last night. After dropping the first game 10–2, the team bounced back in impressive fashion with a 7–2 win in game two to secure the Lower State Championship title. The Vikings will travel to McBee on Saturday to begin the State Championship series.
Congratulations to both teams on their outstanding performances, and best wishes as they continue their playoff journeys.
