Viking Theatre Workshop is proud to announce its upcoming production of the beloved musical Oklahoma!, featuring a collaborative cast of Latta Middle and Latta High school students. Performances will take place on April 23 and 24 at 6:30pm and April 25 at 3:00pm at the EPAC.
Set in the early 1900s in the Oklahoma Territory, Oklahoma! tells a timeless story of love, rivalry, and community as farmers and cowboys navigate life on the frontier. Audiences will follow the charming yet headstrong Curly McLain and the spirited Laurey Williams as they explore romance amidst tension and celebration, all brought to life with memorable songs like “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “People Will Say We’re in Love,” and the iconic title number, “Oklahoma!”
This engaging production brings together students from both Latta Middle School and Latta High School, offering a rare opportunity for younger performers to collaborate with more experienced student actors. Students are featured in every aspect of the production — from on stage to backstage to the tech booth and the catwalk. From lively dance numbers to heartfelt ballads, Oklahoma! promises a pleasing experience for audiences of all ages.
Tickets are available for purchase at the door. General admission is $10, with individual show passes (admission to all three shows) available for $20.
